By far, space is the biggest perceived need amongst teenagers in London - a space to discover who they are and who they are becoming. In the past (Britain has) thought of their young people as their most precious commodities, a vibrant hope for a better future. They were the ones for whom the country would gladly make sacrifices. Now they have become objects of hate, left to their own devices. (Martin Saunders, Editor – Youthwork Magazine).

The voices behind the Hoodies Project recognize this cultural shift and deeply desire to provide a safe space in which young people can discover who they are and who they are becoming. We aim to provide an open café in Acton with an evolving space for table tennis, pool, video games, coffee, lounge, music and artistic expression alongside of caring adults willing to invest in the lives of teenagers.
